Art By Carlos Soca

About The Artist

Throughout a childhood spent devouring the written word in genres and eras ranging from ancient myths and epic poems to hard science fiction and scrutinizing every type of art from comic books to the work of renaissance masters, Carlos Soca embraced growing up in New York City, where the whole world was an open book for anyone adventurous and curious enough to read it.

Carlos Soca, Artist Case in point, when he was 8, his mom found him drawing on his bedroom wall and – mid-reprimand – caught herself when she realized he was doing a better-than-decent job recreating parts of the Sistine Chapel.
“Bueno, asegúrate que lo acabes bien…”
If you’re going to do it, do it right and finish strong.

A lifetime spent creating professionally both as a writer and an artist has taken Carlos to many places, culminating in the launch of his newest venture, Manifest Sculpt LLC., a studio dedicated to collaborating with clients to create one-of-a-kind pieces for their collections.

Ponder What’s Possible

Sculptures Are Different

Sculptures embody a physical manifestation of something a person wanted to exist beyond just their imagination. You could say that about every creative endeavor of course, but sculptures are different.

They are three-dimensional and they are tactile. You can walk around a sculpture and appreciate it from every angle, so there’s no place to hide a flaw. And when an artist gets it right, especially if it’s a subject that resonates, it’s like magic. A sculpture is more present – more “there” – than nearly any other type of art because it occupies space just as we do, so we connect with it in a unique way.

Manifest Your Dream

Have you ever dreamt of owning a particular piece, one you hoped someone would eventually make? Maybe you’ve dreamt of a piece you thought no one would ever craft because it only existed in your imagination? That feeling, that wish, is hard to shake. For collectors, there are three types of sculptures: The ones you own, others you’ve seen and are considering buying and, for many of us, the ones you wish would get made. The ones you can’t stop dreaming of.

My mission is to create those, the ones that burned in a person’s imagination so vividly that they had to get made.

If there are sculptures you wish existed, ones only you have dreamed about, I want to make them real. They shouldn’t just exist in your head. I want them to sit on your shelf, or wherever else you want to put them.

That’s what it’s all about. Having the one.

Or more than one, perhaps.

Let your imagination run wild. Ponder what’s possible.
