Much of Moore’s writing is intense. Watchmen, V for Vendetta and From Hell are prime examples of that intensity—though if you’re only familiar with the film adaptations’ you don’t know the half of it, and frankly, they pale in comparison to the source material—but Miracleman (Marvelman) more than holds its own with those other stories.
